Section 1.10: The welcome message and Get started checklist
When your workspace opens for the first time, ABRAM shows you your first few moves and keeps track of them until they are done. The moves depend on what you do in ABRAM, and ABRAM only lists steps you can complete yourself.
1. The welcome message
The first time you reach the dashboard or the ABRAM chat, a welcome message greets you by name, such as Welcome, Sam, and lists your first moves as numbered steps. Click Get started to close it.
It appears once. You can see it again from Settings > Account, in the Onboarding block: click Show welcome.
2. The Get started checklist
The same moves live in the Get started checklist in the bottom-right corner of the screen. It starts as a small pill showing your progress, such as Get started 1/3.
- Click the pill to open the list. Click it again, click outside, or press Esc to close it.
- Click a step to go straight to where you do it.
- A step that has to wait says why, such as Needs a project first.
- Finished steps are ticked. When every step is done, the checklist shows its finished state for a moment and then goes away for good.
The checklist hides while the welcome message is open and while the ABRAM chat panel is open.
3. Your first moves
The list fits what you do in ABRAM. There are usually three moves.
If you run productions:
- Create your first project
- Add a deliverable
- Invite your team, shown only when your workspace has a free seat
- Ask ABRAM about it, shown when your workspace has AI switched on
If you are crew:
- Respond to your invitation
- Set your rate and skills
- Log your first hours, once you have an accepted booking
If work is shared with you to follow:
- Open your project
- Ask ABRAM where it stands, shown when your workspace has AI switched on
If you picked a paid plan and have not finished paying for it, an extra row reads Finish setting up billing. It is not counted as a step.
4. Hiding and bringing it back
- To hide the checklist, open it and click the X. It stays hidden on every device.
- To bring it back, open Settings > Account and, in the Onboarding block, click Show checklist. ABRAM confirms Checklist restored and the checklist returns to the bottom-right corner.
