Section 6.8: Clients Hub and Client Health
Clients in the sidebar is where you manage everyone you make work for. Each client has one page that rolls up their projects, money, portal and requests, with a health score that tells you how the relationship is going.
The Clients hub is on Pro and above.
1. The Clients hub
The hub has two tabs:
- Clients: your client list. Owners and admins manage it.
- Intake forms: the forms clients fill in to send you a request. Intake forms are on Studio and above. See Section 2.3: Custom Intake Forms.
The client list
Each row shows the Client, their Projects, what is Outstanding, the Engagement type, their portal Access, Last activity, and when they were Added.
Search with Search clients, and switch between Active and Archived clients.
Adding a client
- Click Add client. The New client form opens.
- Enter the client's Name and choose the Engagement.
- Under Who can open it, list the allowed emails. Leave it empty to let anyone with the link verify their email.
- Create the client. ABRAM gives you the Portal link to copy and send, then click Done.
Portals count against your plan: 10 on Pro, unlimited on Studio and above. If you hit the limit, you see "Client limit reached".
2. A client's page
Click a client to open their page. It has four tabs.
Overview
The top strip rolls up the relationship:
| Figure | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Billed | What you have invoiced this client. |
| Outstanding | What they still owe, with any overdue amount called out. |
| Client health | A score from 0 to 100, averaged from the health scores of their linked projects. |
| First-pass approval | The share of deliverables they approved without asking for changes, with the median time to sign-off when it is recorded. |
| Last activity | When the client last did something in their portal, and when your team last contacted them. |
Billed and Outstanding only show to people with access to the organization's finances.
When a figure cannot be worked out yet, it says so, for example Not measurable yet when no deliverables have been approved, or when no linked project has a health score.
Below the strip, set the client's details and Engagement (Project-based or Retainer), and link their projects under Linked projects.
Materials
Every deliverable across the client's projects, in one list. Filter by Visible or Hidden, or by status, and switch each one between Visible on portal and Hidden from portal.
Access
The portal link and who can use it:
- Portal link: copy it, or Regenerate link to replace it. The old link stops working.
- Who can open it: the Allowed emails, or anyone who verifies their email.
- Visitors: who has opened the portal and when.
At the bottom, Revoke or delete lets you revoke the client's portal access or delete the client.
Requests
Requests the client sent from their portal.
- Turn on Take requests from the portal to let them send requests.
- Pick the Intake form they fill in. Without one, they get Basic (title and details).
3. Seeing what your client sees
Click Preview portal on a client's page to open their portal exactly as they see it. Messaging is turned off in preview.
For the portal itself, see Section 6.4: Client Portal.
Troubleshooting
Billed and Outstanding are missing. They only show to people who can see the organization's finances.
Client health says Not measurable yet. None of the client's linked projects has a health score yet. Link their projects on the Overview tab.
I cannot see the Clients tab. The client list is for owners and admins.
