Section 4.2: Crew Matching
ABRAM can suggest people for the open roles on your production. Suggestions come from your own roster, the people already connected to your organization. Nobody hears from you until you send invites.
You see suggestions in four places:
- Auto-fill roles on a project's Team page fills open roles in one pass.
- Suggest on a deliverable fills its assignment rows.
- Assign with ABRAM on the Team page proposes people and hours for every open deliverable at once.
- The matching page on Studio shows scored matches for each role.
1. Auto-fill roles on the Team page
Open roles come from your work packages. When a package needs a role that nobody fills yet, the role shows as open on the Crew tab.
- Open the project and go to Resources > Team.
- On the Crew tab, click Auto-fill roles in the toolbar. On a narrow window it sits under the ... menu. It appears when you can manage the crew and at least one role is open.
- A strip appears above the crew table: ABRAM found N matches. Each line shows the role, the work package when there are several, and the person ABRAM picked.
- Click Accept to take a match, or Skip to leave that role open. With more than one match, Accept all takes them all.
- When you are ready, click Send invites. It shows the number of drafted people, such as Send invites · 3.
Accepted matches land on the crew as drafts, like any other add. Nobody is contacted until you click Send invites.
How ABRAM picks
For each open role, ABRAM looks at people on your roster whose role or skills fit. It then weighs their experience, location, availability for the package's dates, and rate. People who have worked well with the crew already on the package rank higher. Anyone already on this production is left out, and each person is suggested for one role at most.
Auto-fill roles is rule-based. It does not count toward AI usage.
When nothing comes back
- Every role is filled: there are no open roles left.
- No matches found: nobody on your roster fits. Add people yourself from the Add people: name or email field. See Section 4.3: Inviting Crew and RSVP.
2. Suggest on a deliverable
A deliverable's sheet has an Assignments section for who works on it and for how many hours.
- Open the deliverable.
- In Assignments, click Suggest.
- ABRAM fills the rows. It uses the role each empty row names, or the roles the work package needs, and prefers people already on the crew in that role.
- Each filled row shows why that person was picked, with an Undo.
To swap someone, pick a different person on that row. In the person picker, people ABRAM recommends carry a Suggested badge.
Suggest does not count toward AI usage.
3. Assign with ABRAM
On the Team page, Assign with ABRAM proposes crew and hours for every open deliverable that has nobody on it or fewer hours than its estimate. It sits next to Auto-fill roles, and it appears for anyone who can manage the crew.
- Click Assign with ABRAM. A sheet opens with a proposal.
- Swap a person, change the hours, or remove a row. People ABRAM recommends carry a Suggested badge in the picker.
- Click Apply to save the assignments, or Cancel to leave everything as it was.
Nothing is saved and nobody is told until you click Apply. Each proposal counts toward your AI usage.
4. The matching page (Studio)
Crew matchmaking is on Studio and above.
ABRAM links to the project's matching page from the notification you get when an invitation is declined or expires.
On the matching page:
- Click Find matches to score candidates for each role.
- Review the best match and the Alternatives for each role.
- Click Invite on a row, or select several people and click Invite all selected.
Invites from the matching page go out straight away.
[!IMPORTANT] A match score ranks how well a profile fits the role on paper. It says nothing about how someone will perform. Talk to people and confirm details before you book them.
Troubleshooting
I do not see Auto-fill roles. You need to be able to manage the crew, and at least one role must be open. Add a role to a work package first.
A person I expected was not suggested. They may already be on this production, their skills may not match the role, or they may be booked for the package's dates.
