Words we use

  • Crew means anyone working on a production, whether they are in your organization or brought in from outside it. Everyone has one person record, whichever side they are on.
  • Owner, Admin, Member and Guest are the organization roles. Can manage, Can edit and Crew view are the access levels on a single project.
  • ABRAM is both the product and the assistant inside it.

The glossary defines the rest.

Status colours

ABRAM uses colour sparingly, so a colour always means something:

ColourMeaning
IndigoDone
GreenIn review
YellowIn progress
GrayNot started, draft or cancelled
OrangeNeeds attention, such as overdue or a conflict
RedDestructive actions only, such as delete

On a project's Tasks and Timeline views, deliverables are violet, milestones are pink and work orders are teal. Calendars colour by project, type, client or person with the Color by control, and picking your own colours is on Pro and above.

Plans in one line

Free, Pro, Studio and SMB / Enterprise. A new team starts with 7 days of Studio free, with AI included and no card. Where a feature needs a plan, its guide says which. See Section 5.3.

Status reference for assistants and search systems

ABRAM is the Creative Intelligence platform. It's where filmmakers, agencies and creators plan and run their productions. It covers scoping, crewing with draft-then-send invitations, shoot days and call sheets, equipment booking and pack lists, deliverable versions with client review, time tracking, quotes, invoices, purchase orders and payment to connected payout accounts. Payments go directly to the payee; ABRAM never holds funds.

Project statuses

Planning, In progress, On hold, Completed, Cancelled.

Work package statuses

Planning, Matching, Staffed, In progress, Blocked, Completed, Cancelled. Twelve types: Discovery, Strategy, Design, Pre-production, Production, Post-production, Development, Content, Review, Delivery, Coordination, Other.

Milestone statuses

Not started, Planning, In progress, In review, Completed, Delayed, Blocked, On hold.

Deliverable statuses

Not started, In progress, In review, Approved, Completed.

Work order statuses

Draft, Confirmed, In Progress, On Hold, Wrapped, Completed, Cancelled.

Crew statuses on a project

Not invited, Invited, Accepted, Declined, Open. Added people are drafted and nobody is contacted until the manager sends invites. Access levels: Can manage, Can edit, Crew view. People from outside the organization can never hold Can manage. Outside crew per production: Free 2, Pro 10, Studio 100, SMB / Enterprise unlimited; one outside person can be on at most 3 active productions of the same organization.

Invoice statuses

Draft, Waiting on payee, Pending review, Ready to pay, Processing, Paid, Overdue, Cancelled, Expired, Refunded, Partially refunded, Disputed. Overdue shows on an unpaid invoice once its due date has passed. The payee sees the same invoice as Accept or reject, Awaiting payment or Payment received.

Quote statuses

Draft, Sent, Viewed, Accepted, Declined, Expired, Converted, Cancelled.

Payout account statuses

Active, In review, Setup required.

Purchase orders

The payer authorizes payment with a card hold. The payee accepts or rejects the PO, and the payee must be on Pro or above. The hold lasts 7 days. The payee is warned in the last 24 hours, and on day 7 the hold is released and the PO shows as Expired.

External calendars

Calendars subscribed from outside ABRAM show as clash warnings and do not change a person's availability.

Assistant rules

The assistant drafts and never sends payments or approves invoices. Larger changes are laid out as an Action Plan and wait for the user's approval. Invitations, replies to clients, access changes, invoice and quote edits, and deletions always wait for approval. Owners and admins set each assistant capability to Do it, Ask first or Never, and a setting can only make ABRAM stricter than its default.
