Section 3.1: Master Project Detail Page Overview
The Project Detail Page is the central workspace for a single project. Everything about that project — its schedule, crew, budget, documents, and conversations — lives behind one of its tabs.
This article is a map, not a deep dive: it shows you what each part of the page does and points you to the dedicated guide for anything with more depth to cover.
1. The Project Header
The header is a single compact line at the top of the page. From left to right, it shows:
- Back button — return to your project list.
- Project title — click directly on the title to rename it inline.
- Client badge — the client this project is booked for, if one is set.
- Budget and due date — at-a-glance figures for the project.
- Team count — how many people are currently booked.
- Progress pill — a calculated completion percentage.
- Status dropdown — change the project's status (e.g., Planning, In Progress, Completed) if you have permission to do so.
- "…" (more) menu — opens Project Settings.

Everything for configuring the project lives behind the "…" menu, in the Project Settings dialog. It's organized into sections:
- Basic Settings — name, description, dates, and budget bounds.
- Configure Tabs — choose which tabs are visible for this project (see Customizing Visible Tabs below).
- Client Portal — link or manage the client-facing portal for this project.
- Integrations — connect Frame.io, calendar sync, and other tools at the project level.
- Danger Zone — archive or delete the project.
2. The Info Strip
Just below the header, the info strip surfaces three things at a glance:
- Project health summary — an AI-generated summary of how the project is trending, based on its schedule, budget, and activity.
- Links — quick links related to the project.
- Custom Fields — any custom fields your organization has configured for projects, shown with their current values.
3. Tabs at a Glance
Which tabs you see depends on your organization's settings, your permissions, and this project's own tab configuration. Here's what each one is for and where to go for the full guide.
| Tab | What it's for |
|---|---|
| Overview | The project dashboard — a timeline preview, budget snapshot, team capacity, upcoming events, and recent activity, all in one view. |
| Tasks | The task and scope manager for deliverables, milestones, and work orders. See Section 3.4. |
| Scheduling | Production calendar and scene-level scheduling tools, including the stripboard, day-out-of-days, and scene elements — covered in their own dedicated guide. |
| Call Sheets | Create and distribute official call sheets to crew — covered in a dedicated Call Sheets guide. |
| Timeline | A full-screen Gantt and team-workload view for adjusting dates and spotting scheduling conflicts. |
| Run of Show | A minute-by-minute run sheet for shoot days or live events — covered in a dedicated Run of Show guide. |
| Team | The crew roster: manage bookings, view matched freelancers, and invite external personnel. |
| Time | Where freelancers log hours and producers review and approve them — covered in a dedicated Timesheets guide. |
| Documents | Project file storage with AI-powered search. See Section 6. |
| Frame.io | Video review inside the project, powered by Frame.io. See Section 6.2. |
| Resources | Track and reserve equipment and other physical assets for this project. See Section 3.5. |
| Activity | The audit feed — a running log of project changes plus a comment thread for the team. |
| Financial | Budget, expenses, invoices, and billing for the project. Visible to project owners, producers, and administrators, and to contractors viewing their own financials. See Section 5. |
| Client Discussion | A dedicated conversation thread with the client. Appears only when a client portal is linked to the project. |
4. Customizing Visible Tabs
You can choose which tabs show up for a given project — for example, hiding Frame.io if you're not producing video, or hiding Call Sheets for a project that has none.
- Open the "…" menu in the project header and select Project Settings.
- Go to the Configure Tabs section.
- Check or uncheck the tabs you want visible for this project.
- Save your changes.
This preference is saved per project, so different projects can show different tab sets.
5. Opening Projects from Shared Links
If someone shares a link to a specific work order with you, opening it takes you straight into that project and jumps directly to the work order — no need to hunt for it across tabs.
