Section 6.7: Client Calls

After a call with a client, add the transcript to the project and ABRAM reads it for you. You get a summary, the decisions made, the follow-ups agreed, and any change to scope or price, each ready to apply or dismiss. Nothing changes on the project until you apply it.

1. Where calls live

Open the project and go to Client > Calls. You need to be able to manage the project to see it.

The list shows each call with its Date, Status, and whether it changed Scope or the quote.

2. Adding a call

  1. On the Calls tab, click Add call.
  2. Give the call a Title and a Date.
  3. Choose how to add the transcript:
    • Paste: paste the transcript text.
    • Upload: add a transcript file (.txt, .vtt, .srt or .docx, up to 10 MB).
  4. Click Read call.

Reading a call uses AI credits, and you need at least 25 credits to start one. Very long transcripts are cut to the first 150,000 characters.

Importing recordings directly from a meeting app is not available. Export the transcript from your meeting app and paste or upload it.

3. Reviewing what ABRAM found

Click a call to open its review. The review has these parts:

  • Summary: what the call covered.
  • Scope changes: deliverables to add, update or remove. Each one shows what would change.
  • Quote change: how the price moves against the client's accepted quote.
  • Action items: the follow-ups agreed on the call.
  • Decisions: what was settled.
  • Transcript: the full text, to check anything against.

Applying or dismissing

Every item has its own button to apply it and a Dismiss:

  • A scope change shows Add, Update or Remove. Applying it changes that deliverable on the project.
  • Draft quote change saves a draft quote with the new pricing. It reads Draft created when done. The draft is not sent. Review it in Financials > Quotes and send it when you are ready. See Section 5.6: Quotes.
  • Create task adds an action item to the project as a milestone.

If an item was not said word for word, ABRAM marks it "Not found word for word in the transcript" so you know to check it.

If a read fails

Click Read again to try the call once more.

4. Who can use Calls

Calls are available to anyone who can manage the project, on any plan, as long as the organization has AI credits.

Troubleshooting

I do not see the Calls tab. You need permission to manage the project. Ask the project's owner.

The quote change says there is no accepted quote. ABRAM compares price changes with the client's accepted quote. With none, there is nothing to compare against.

Could not read that file. Check that it is a .txt, .vtt, .srt or .docx file under 10 MB, or paste the text instead.
