Link Hub, a Projects Board, Packing Lists, and Wrap Reports
Welcome to ABRAM 1.5.0. Your projects page has a board and a queue for work nobody has picked up yet, gear can now be tracked unit by unit and packed from a list that builds itself, every project can be wrapped with a report, and ABRAM now has apps. The first one is Link Hub.
Apps, and Link Hub
ABRAM now has installable apps, and Link Hub is the first.
Link Hub gives you one public page for everything you want people to find: your reel, your rates, your booking form, your socials. You pick a theme, a background, a button style and a font, upload and crop your own images, add a header, an email and a phone link, and publish when it is ready. Video links show the thumbnail and a play mark and open on the provider's own site, so the page stays fast for whoever opened it from a bio on their phone.
It is built mobile first, because that is where it gets read.
Customisation is available from Solo Lite up. On Solo Pro and above you can remove the ABRAM mark from the footer.
A board, and a queue for what nobody owns
The Projects page has been rebuilt.
Board view lays your projects out as cards in lanes, and you choose what the lanes mean with Group By. The list view is still there and now shares the same toolbar, filters and sort.
Triage is a separate tab that collects the two kinds of work that go missing: projects that have no owner, and project requests that have come in and not been dealt with. Both sit in one queue with a live count, so a job stops being forgotten because it was nobody's in particular. Narrow it to just requests, just unowned projects, or leave it showing both.
Assigning an owner and reviewing a request are now full pages rather than popups, so there is room to read what you are deciding on.
Triage is available to organizations on Team plans and above.
Project requests now start on Team
Custom intake forms and the project requests they produce now require a Team plan or higher. They previously appeared on Solo Pro, where the queue that reviews them was not available, so a request could arrive somewhere you could not see it. The two now start on the same plan.
Gear, unit by unit
Equipment has had the deepest change in this release.
Per-unit tracking. Ten identical lights can now be ten tracked units rather than a quantity of ten, each with its own serial, condition and history.
Packing lists. A pack list builds from the gear a project has actually booked, so anything added during prep is on it without anyone having to remember. Each line moves through to pack, packed, loaded, out, returned and checked, and records who did it.
Maintenance history. An item keeps a record of what has happened to it rather than a single current condition.
Status comes from the bookings. Whether a piece of kit reads as available, reserved or out is worked out from what is booked against it. You can still override it by hand when something needs holding back.
Opening a piece of equipment now takes you to a full page rather than a panel.
Wrap a project
Projects can now be wrapped with a report: what was delivered, what it cost against what was budgeted, who worked on it and how the work landed. Skill records are weighted by how the work actually turned out, so the picture of who is good at what is built from finished projects.
A weekly recap
The Growth tab now opens with a recap of your week: what changed, what moved, and what is close to moving next. Previous weeks are kept, so you can look back at how a stretch of work went.
The assistant does more, and still never sends money
The ABRAM assistant can now take a much wider set of actions on your behalf, and it can build reports and charts from your own production data when you ask it a question.
One boundary is deliberate and is not changing: the assistant will draft an invoice, a quote or a payout, and it will never send one. Anything that moves money is prepared for you and waits for you to press the button.
Progression is one ladder now
Proof Points has been retired. It sat alongside the skill ladder measuring roughly the same thing at a coarser grain, and it never recorded anything for anyone.
Your Skills area now has a Competency tab, which shows the hours actually logged against each skill and a strength of Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced or Expert built from completed work rather than from what you typed in. It is private to you. Alongside it, Growth shows what changed and what is close.
Smaller things
- Notifications can be marked read and deleted on a phone.
- The two charts on the phone dashboard are readable.
- A failed sign-in or an expired session takes you back to sign-in rather than into onboarding.
- Projects created by the assistant arrive owned by you.
- The date-range filter now reaches the projects board, and Sort says what it is doing.
- Quotes and invoices are readable on a phone.
- Equipment bookings that would exceed what you own are refused rather than warned about.
