Welcome to ABRAM 1.4.0, the largest release so far. Your workspace now has a real file system with storage you can see, Run of Show became something you shape around whoever is reading it, the Tasks tab gained a board, and ABRAM works on a phone.

Files, folders and storage

Your workspace now has a proper file system.

  • A Documents page of your own. Personal files live in their own space, separate from anything your organization can see.
  • Organization documents, in folders. Drag files in, nest folders, switch between a list and a tile view. Owners and admins manage this space; project files remain the place your whole team works.
  • My files and Shared with me are two pages, chosen from one control at the top. Both carry the same toolbar: search across everything, and sort by name, date or size.
  • Projects shared with you appear as folders, and you can upload into one wherever your access allows — with real progress, and a check against your allowance before the upload starts.
  • One viewer everywhere. Open a PDF, an image or a document from anywhere in ABRAM and it opens in the same viewer, without downloading it first.
  • Storage you can see. Every plan carries a storage allowance and a per-file upload limit, and both are shown to you as you approach them. An organization's storage is one shared pool, so the seat that needs more room can use it.

Run of Show, shaped around who is reading it

Six built-in views sit on one tab strip, each with its own quiet accent. Producer sees every cue column, as below; pick Camera and the same rundown narrows to what a camera operator needs.

  • One strip of views, and you can add your own. Six built-in views — Producer, Camera, Audio, Graphics / LED, Replay / VTR and Stage Manager — sit on a single colored tab strip, and a project can define its own views alongside them.
  • Every view's columns are yours. Choose which columns a view shows — including the built-in ones — from the Views sheet, and reset any of them back to their defaults.
  • A view you can send. The view you are looking at travels in the link, so whoever you send it to opens on the same one. ABRAM also remembers the view you last used on each project.
  • A print layout. A landscape print view for the day, in whichever view you are on.
  • Fewer controls, better grouped. Focused and full rundown moved into the day band, and timezone and 12/24-hour sit together under Display.

  • A board view for tasks. The project Tasks tab now has a kanban board, and you choose what the lanes are grouped by.
  • Keyboard entry on budgets. Budget and Expense sheets behave like a spreadsheet — type, tab, move down a column without reaching for the mouse.
  • Financial exports carry real dates. Every financial CSV export reflects the date range you actually selected.

Calendars

ABRAM shares calendars through two links, and neither one signs in to your calendar account.

  • Publish your ABRAM calendar. Copy a private link from Calendar settings and subscribe to it in whatever calendar app you already use. Your bookings and holds appear there. You can revoke the link at any time and generate a fresh one.
  • Subscribe ABRAM to a calendar you already keep. Paste in its secret address and its events appear alongside your bookings as clash warnings.

One important difference: an event on a subscribed calendar warns you and leaves your availability, your capacity figures, and matchmaking untouched. To make a date genuinely unavailable, add a blockout on your Utilization Calendar.

ABRAM on a phone

  • Schedule is an agenda. Three calendar grids that were unusable at phone width are replaced by a day-by-day agenda list.
  • The whole navigation, not four tabs. The bottom tab bar is gone; the drawer replaced it.
  • Quotes and invoices are readable without pinching or scrolling sideways.
  • Task status, filters and the dashboard date filter all work at phone width.

Your team

  • A permissions page, not a modal. Member permissions moved onto their own page, and every change is enforced and recorded on the server.
  • One place for invitations. RSVPs and invitation emails were rebuilt, and every invitation you have been sent now arrives in a single inbox.

Boards read more calmly

Color has moved off the edges of cards and rows and into small glyphs and chips, across the kanban board, Run of Show and the stripboard. The stripboard keeps its interior/exterior and day/night reading as a light tint across the whole strip.

For organizations on custom terms

Features can now be turned on or off for a single organization without a separate build of ABRAM. An organization can also switch AI features off entirely — and when it is off, it is off everywhere, not just hidden from the menu.
